WHAT
IS NON-LINEAR EDITING?
The process of combining your multiple camera footage, transitions and
titles into the final presentation was, up until recently, accomplished
through the use of analog equipment. Although good, this process cannot
compare to non-linear editing. Taking the digital signal directly from the
camera, your images are saved to a system of high capacity hard drives and
manipulated through the use of special software. The end result is a
production containing images that are crisp and sound that is dynamic.
WHAT IS A PHOTO MONTAGE?
A photo montage is a series of pictures of the bride and groom during
their childhood. It can also include photographs of the couple during the
dating and engagement period. Musical selections of your choice will be
added to the completed project.
DO YOU ATTEND THE REHEARSAL?
In most cases. It is important that I learn how the wedding party
will be standing at the ceremony. At this point I figure out camera
positioning and ask any last minute questions about the ceremony.
WHAT ABOUT CHURCH RESTRICTIONS FOR VIDEOGRAPHERS?
Many churches have strict guidelines for the photographer and videographer
to go by. I have no choice but to abide by these rules. It is important
for you to check with your chosen location and then share this information
with me.
DO YOU USE EXTERNAL LIGHTS?
We very
rarely make use of fill lights during the ceremony as our cameras are
designed to operate in subdued lighting. On camera lights are often
used during the reception dinner and dance to enhance color and general
image quality.
HOW LONG WILL MY VIDEO BE?
Your finished video will probably run between 100-120 minutes depending on
the events to be covered.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY COMPLETED VIDEO?
Most videos are completed within 4-6 weeks after the ceremony and often
times sooner. You will be
advised if there are any unforeseen delays.
DO WE HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT?
Yes. The
contract is designed to protect you, the client, and to clarify what is
expected from both parties. It is the framework of your project and
actually helps to reduce feelings of anxiety.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
I require a $200.00 deposit to hold the date. This is non-refundable
because it takes that date out of booking. If you cancel and reschedule,
that deposit will apply to the new date. Fees for the new wedding date
will be subject to the updated prices for that year. The balance of the
payment is due on the day of your event. A payment plan can be worked out
with you at the time of booking. We currently accept personal checks and
credit cards via PayPal.
